SureCalf Terms and Conditions

Surecalf Four

SureCalf Four Terms & Conditions

‘The Scheme’ shall mean the SureCalf Scheme. ‘Zoetis’ shall mean Zoetis Ltd.

‘The Seller’ shall mean the owner of any calf for which an application for registration is made under the Scheme.

‘The Buyer’ shall mean the buyer of any calf for which an application for registration is made under the Scheme.

1. SureCalf is operated and administered by Zoetis Ltd in the UK.

2. Zoetis reserves the right to refuse enrolment onto the Scheme without giving a reason or withdraw the scheme without giving notice. No compensation will be given for costs incurred as a result of such refusal or withdrawal.

3. Sellers wishing to participate in the Scheme must register with Zoetis via www.surecalf.co.uk or on 0800 6681886 at least 2 weeks before the intended sale.

4. The Scheme is not an offer or implied offer of insurance or indemnity against any disease. Vaccination is not a guarantee that animals will be protected from disease.

5. Eligible animals for enrolment onto the SureCalf® Four Scheme are calves that have received a full primary course of Rispoval® 4.

6. Calves must be/have been at least 3 months of age on receipt of the first dose of Rispoval 4.

7. The two doses of Rispoval 4 must be given a minimum of 21 days and a maximum of 28 days apart.

8. The final dose of the Rispoval 4 primary course must be given no less than 2 weeks and no more than 8 weeks before the date of intended sale.

9. Rispoval 4 can be replaced by Rispoval 3 and either Tracherine® or Rispoval IBR Marker Live. Tracherine should be administered as a single intranasal dose no less than 4 days and no more than 8 weeks prior to the date of intended sale. Rispoval IBR Marker Live should be administered as a single intramuscular dose no less than 3 weeks and no more than 8 weeks prior to the date of intended sale.

10. Where animals are housed for a short period prior to sale, they should have completed their Rispoval 4 (or Rispoval 3) vaccination course no less than 2 weeks prior to housing.

11. Zoetis reserves the right to request biological samples to confirm vaccination of enrolled animals has taken place and will reimburse associated veterinary and laboratory fees.

12. Zoetis will not be held liable for any alleged or apparent shortcomings in the vaccination procedure or technique of any Seller or for the incorrect storage of vaccine intended for use or subsequently used by the Seller.

13. Zoetis offers no guarantee that any individual Seller has completed the Scheme appropriately. The self-certified declaration is the Seller’s assurance to the buyer that the Scheme requirements have been complied with. Zoetis does not guarantee any commercial benefit for the Seller by the Scheme.

14. Registration by the Seller requires all of the following details: name, address and holding number of Seller; number and breed of calves; earliest and latest dates of birth in the batch; details and batch number(s) of the vaccine(s) used date(s) of administration of the vaccine(s); name of the supplying veterinary practice; and date and venue of intended sale.

15. Zoetis will not be liable for any costs incurred by a Seller where animals are subsequently found to be ineligible for enrolment. For example, but not exclusively, ineligibility may be due to an incorrect primary course interval, inappropriate age of the animals at the time of vaccination or if vaccination has taken place more than 8 weeks prior to sale.

16. Any complaints or queries about Zoetis vaccine usage should be made to the Zoetis technical helpdesk on 0845 300 8034.

17. Zoetis will not be involved or mediate where disputes arise between third parties.

18. The Seller agrees to provide details of the veterinary practice(s) supplying the vaccine to be used under the Scheme.

19. By applying for enrolment onto the Scheme, and completing registration on the scheme the Seller permits Zoetis to contact the named practice for vaccine purchase and quantity confirmation. No additional information on price paid or other account details is requested or required.
